Found an Electrician for my Projects – Don’t take him away | CB Contracting

My custom Home at last: I contacted Hotwire via our electrical supplier (they recommended
him) so I figured I would refer him to my custom home builder who has had experience with
electricians and we would give him a try. My last electrician wasnt that stellar. I was building
a custom 4680 sqft home and Hotwire was to do everything. From 200amp service to 96
Contrast brand potlights, custom dimmers and switches and all state of the art theatre
system. Needless to say, I dont take time to write these reviews (ever) but this is the first
time that an electrician looked at the schematics and without 1 error got it 100% correct.
Sure he isnt the cheapest. But he arrives when he says he will, he completes what he says
he will and he is ALWAYS on TIME. Which for me and my GC is $$$$. I will be using him on
future projects. I hope this review doesnt mean he wont have time for me in the future.

We hired the crew last year to come in and install exterior pot lights around the perimeter of the house. His knowledge and expertise when spoken to about photo eye sensors and what products out performed others was key, giving us the ability to choose the proper components as home owners that fit with our styling and budget, eliminating possible problematic situations down the road. The project was conducted in a timely and professional manner, on schedule (unlike other outfits that will try to find things that are wrong but are not-these are called incidentals), and no hidden surprises. Early this year we found ourselves inviting the crew back to install interior pot lights, to perform interior, and exterior electrical work as well. The key component in the interior installation of the pot lights for those of you who have clean freak wives like mine, was that, they lived up to their word when they said, "We leave it as we find, you will never know we were here", and they did just that. Once again their level of knowledge and expertise was very clear and concise allowing for us to pick and choose the proper components (dimmers, light switches, etc) that would best fit the decor and our personal preferences. Would I invite anyone to hire Hotwire Electrical? In a heart beat with no hesitation will I refer Hotwire Electrical to family, friends, and just anyone looking to hire an electrician? In closing, Hotwire does nothing but stand up to the epitome of professionalism, quality work, and performance; and truly deserves to be called and be given the title, the "A Team" of the electrical world.

Not much more to add to what other happy customers have said; Hotwire Electric-All has been a great partner in helping us drag this old house into better shape. Hannah & Chris have been patient while we execute our 3-of-4-floor reno in long, slow phases. Did a great job replacing k&t with minimal damage, and always had useful suggestions along the way for our basement and 3rd floor finishing projects. Cheerful, SUPER professional, very hard-working - a delight to work with. Ours is, I'm sure, a relatively small job compared to the big houses I know they have worked on, but each one of the team has made it clear they want to do a great job on every part of our project. It's been a pleasure to recommend them to friends and neighbours, and I'll continue to do so.

I contacted HotWire Electric after reviewing the Home Stars website and reading many reviews. I communicated with them by phone and email to clarify what I wanted/needed and to firm up the estimate. I appreciated the opportunity to communicate by email. From start to finish my experience was excellent and very easy. The electricians who came to my home were on time, friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. They finished the job earlier in the day than I expected and cleaned everything up. I received an unexpected suprise when I arrived home as the guys also swapped out a mismatched plug receptacle in my kitchen without me asking for it. Should I need the services of an electrician in the future I will most definatley contact HotWire again - no need to look further to find a quality and trusted electrical service. I would have no hesitation in referring them to others.

We are building our new home out in Bolton. 4700 square foot. Its my dream home at last complete with a pool. The hotwire team has been on the job site every step of the way. We finally completed the home and are almost ready to move in. The team did a fantastic job complete with 139 low-voltage speciality potlights, programmable dimmers from Lutron and wiring up my new pool. The truth is, my wife can be a bit of a penny-pincher. She had 5 or 6 other electrical companies come out here to give us reviews and all that stuff.. I saw 5 electrical companies in 1 day with her and Hotwire’s price was not the cheapest. My wife wanted to go with a cheaper guy and we did. He installed our panel and disappeared. Then when it came time for inspection, he didn’t show up and the inspector gave us a few defects on his report. I tried to call him but he never returned our calls. I looked him up in Homestars but he isn’t listed and now his # doesn’t work either. We found him on craigslist. I decided to get Hotwire back in here for a further review of the work, Hotwire wasn’t as cheap as the Craigslist dude but he passed inspection and completed the work as was required. I think maybe just maybe my wife can agree with me on this one too:: sorry for writing so much.
